Ikhan Games back from the dead

After a prolonged hiatus, IkhanGames.com is coming up for air much to my delight.

Numerous problems arose from underlying issues with the platform requiring a substantial rebuild.

The homepage, given a fresh coat of digital paint, greeted users with a blend of the familiar and the new. The simplicity of the layout remained, but subtle enhancements and modern touches hinted at the website's commitment to staying relevant in an ever-evolving online landscape.

Familiar categories will be supplemented with new ones and a better organizational layout. Older categories where being filled with content only tangentially matching their profile. Several aspects in the back-end have also been overhauled to better reflect how categories function in reality.

Projects are more streamlined with revised formatting and more forward facing tools like more progress indicators and links for completed projects. I've also included dedicated image gallery spaces and improved linking to related articles.

Speaking of which articles have received a facelift of their own. Mostly this involved quality of life improvements to the back-end. A new tool system based on a WYSIWYG editor.

This is still a work in progress partially due to a lack of knowledge of the JavaScript necessary to fully realize. The rest is only knowing some of the tools I'll need to garnish article content.

Most of the static pages remain unchanged. Besides the visual updates that effect the entire site, there are no new pages either. This may change as needed but I'm satisfied with the existing compliment of fixed web pages.

I'm hopeful to keep the site going more consistently fro now on with more frequent article release and forward progress on the game development front. Wise me luck and enjoy the content.
